Chishtian Beautification Projects Spark Controversy Over Substandard Material, MNA’s Response Criticized

CHISHTIAN – A new bitterness has emerged in the local political environment following inappropriate responses given by a Member of National Assembly to questions raised by journalists regarding ongoing beautification and development projects in the city.

During a ceremony, some local journalists and anchors raised questions about the quality of beautification projects and the use of substandard material in certain development works. In response, MNA Ahsan-ul-Haq Bajwa, from NA162, reportedly expressed his reaction in a somewhat discourteous manner.

According to a video circulating on social media and various statements, critics contend that the MNA used inappropriate language regarding citizens and his voters, drawing criticism from various political and social circles.

Citizens reacting to the video stated that public representatives are accountable to the people of their constituency and should respond to any difference of opinion and public criticism with politeness and tolerance to promote positive democratic traditions.
