Punjab Government Announces Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle, Transfers and Appoints 22 Senior Officers

Lahore: The Government of Punjab has issued a major reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy, announcing transfers and postings of 22 senior officers, including one divisional commissioner, seven deputy commissioners, and directors general serving in seven provincial authorities.

According to the official notification, Faisalabad Commissioner Ms. Musarrat Jabeen has been made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD).

Punjab Food Authority Director General Syed Musa Raza has been appointed Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), while Punjab Horticulture Authority Lahore Managing Director Raja Mansoor Ahmad has been posted as the new Director General of the Punjab Food Authority.

Deputy Commissioner Toba Tek Singh Umar Abbas Mela has been appointed Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), whereas EPA Director General Imran Hamid has been posted as the new Commissioner of Faisalabad Division.

Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali has been appointed Chief of Section at the Planning and Development (P&D) Department, while Dr. Waheed Asghar Bhatti, who was serving in that position, has been appointed Managing Director of Punjab Resource Management.

LDA Additional Director General (Housing) Owais Mushtaq has been posted as Deputy Commissioner Sialkot, while Additional Secretary Home Department Maham Asif has been appointed Deputy Commissioner Toba Tek Singh.

Okara Deputy Commissioner Ahmad Usman Javed has been transferred as Additional Secretary, Home Department, while Additional Secretary Irrigation Ikram Malik has been posted as the new Deputy Commissioner Okara.

Similarly, Jhang Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar has been appointed Additional Secretary, Irrigation Department, while Saaf Punjab Authority Director General Babar Sahib Din has been posted as Deputy Commissioner Jhang.

PDMA Director General Umar Javed has been appointed Director General of the Saaf Punjab Authority.

Khanewal Deputy Commissioner Maliha Rashid has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD), while Additional Secretary Health and Population Welfare Hina Arshad has been appointed Deputy Commissioner Khanewal.

Nankana Sahib Deputy Commissioner Tasleem Akhtar Rao has been posted as Additional Secretary, Health and Population Welfare Department, while Board of Revenue Secretary Rana Hameed has been appointed Deputy Commissioner Nankana Sahib.

The notification further states that Additional Secretary Finance Syed Muhammad Abbas Shah has been appointed Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar, replacing Zulfiqar Ahmad Bhon, who has been transferred as Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Saaf Pani Authority. In another key appointment, Captain (Retd.) Syed Ali Asghar, previously serving as CEO of the Saaf Pani Authority, has been posted as Additional Secretary, Finance Department.

The large-scale administrative reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance, improving institutional performance, and enhancing public service delivery across Punjab.
