Sindh Govt Distributes Rs10m in Interest-Free Loans Among 50+ Beneficiaries in Ghotki
GHOTKI: Sindh government spokesperson Sukhdev Hemnani distributed Rs10 million in interest-free loans among more than 50 beneficiaries in Ghotki under the People’s Poverty Reduction Programme (PPRP).
Solar kits and tree saplings were also distributed among beneficiaries during the programme. The interest-free financing is intended to support women entrepreneurs, livestock-related activities, small businesses and other income-generating ventures.
Hemnani said the financial assistance was aimed at helping low-income families achieve greater economic self-reliance by developing sustainable sources of income.
He said the PPRP had so far benefited more than 1.5 million families across Sindh, with a particular focus on economic empowerment and improving livelihoods.
The spokesperson said women’s empowerment remained an important component of the programme, enabling women to participate in income-generating activities and contribute to their households’ economic well-being.
The distribution of solar kits and tree saplings was also presented as part of broader efforts to support beneficiary communities through clean-energy solutions and environmental initiatives.
