Chief Minister KP Reviews Youth Policy 2026 to Expand Skills, Employment and Digital Opportunities

Peshawar: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Suhail Khan Afridi chaired a meeting to review the implementation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Policy 2026, focusing on expanding education, skills development, employment, entrepreneurship, sports, and digital opportunities for young people.

The Chief Minister directed the relevant departments to expedite the completion and operationalisation of under-construction Jawan Centres, include elected public representatives on their governing boards, and ensure internationally accredited training for sports coaches.

He stated that investing in youth and human capital remains a key priority, adding that the provincial government is working to provide equal opportunities through skills development, startup support, career guidance, talent promotion, and digital learning initiatives.

The meeting was informed that the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026–27 includes two schemes worth Rs700 million for implementing the provincial youth policy.

The allocations include Rs170 million for Jawan Centres, skills development, digital learning, and career development; Rs115 million for youth entrepreneurship, startup challenges, business plan competitions, and career fairs; Rs120 millionfor talent hunts, IT hackathons, technology competitions, youth festivals, and exchange programmes; and Rs60 millionfor climate action, environmental protection, and tree plantation initiatives aimed at engaging young people in sustainable development.
