IG Sindh Praises Hyderabad Police, Orders Crackdown on Entire Inter-Provincial Crime Network

Karachi: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Javed Alam Odho has commended the Hyderabad Police for a successful operation against an alleged inter-provincial robbery gang, directing investigators to dismantle the entire criminal network and arrest all remaining suspects.

According to SSP Hyderabad, two armed suspected robbers were killed during a police encounter near Maki Shah, close to the Cantt Graveyard in Hyderabad.

Police said preliminary investigations indicate that the two deceased suspects were allegedly involved in more than 35 robbery incidents over the past one and a half years, primarily targeting women, including female doctors, during street crime and robbery cases.

IGP Javed Alam Odho instructed police to obtain the suspects’ criminal records and coordinate with law enforcement agencies in other provinces to determine whether they were involved in crimes beyond Sindh.

He further directed investigators to expand the scope of the inquiry to identify and apprehend all individuals linked to the alleged inter-provincial criminal network.

Police said investigations are ongoing, and raids are being conducted to arrest other suspected members of the gang based on available evidence.
