Bahawalnagar Deputy Commissioner Conducts Surprise Night Inspection of DHQ Hospital

BAHAWALNAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Syed Muhammad Abbas Shah conducted a surprise late-night inspection of the District Headquarters Hospital and directed the hospital administration to ensure the provision of quality, timely, and free healthcare services in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He instructed officials to further improve cleanliness standards, ensure the uninterrupted availability of medicines, strengthen emergency services, enhance security arrangements, and provide every possible facility to patients. Stressing the importance of patient care, the deputy commissioner said that hospital staff must treat patients with courtesy and that negligence in medical treatment would not be tolerated. He also directed officials to maintain continuous monitoring of all hospital departments and take immediate action on any complaints to ensure better healthcare delivery.

During the visit, he inspected the medical, surgical, children’s, and female wards, the emergency department, CT scan unit, medicine store, pharmacy, attendance register, cleanliness arrangements, security measures, air conditioning systems, lighting, medicine stocks, and other healthcare facilities. He also interacted with patients and their attendants to inquire about treatment, the availability of medicines, and overall hospital services.

CEO Health Dr. Shaukat Ali Wattoo, the Medical Superintendent, and other concerned officials accompanied him during the inspection.
