Residents Demand Immediate Crackdown on Alleged Drug Supply in Bahawalpur’s Kachi Basti

BAHAWALPUR (Report – Abdul Razzaq Choudhry): Residents of Islamic Colony in Kachi Basti have expressed serious concern over the alleged continued supply of ice (crystal meth) and alcohol in the area, demanding an immediate crackdown against suspected drug dealers. According to local residents, some influential elements allegedly involved in drug-related activities have become active again and are pushing the younger generation towards addiction.

Citizens claimed that the movement of suspicious individuals has increased during late hours, while illegal alcohol supply is allegedly being carried out through hidden routes. Residents alleged that the activities were continuing due to alleged support from certain influential individuals, affecting the peaceful environment of the locality. They urged the relevant police authorities and senior officials to take immediate notice and launch strict action against those involved in illegal activities.

The residents warned that failure to take timely action could worsen the situation and appealed to the authorities to take emergency measures to make the area free from drugs and protect the youth from the growing menace of addiction.
