Bahawalnagar Launches Anti-Smog Gun to Improve Air Quality and Combat Pollution
Bahawalnagar: The Bahawalnagar District Administration has launched an Anti-Smog Gun as part of the Punjab Government’s efforts to reduce air pollution and improve environmental quality across the province.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar Zulfiqar Ahmed said the initiative has been launched in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to provide citizens with a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment.
The Deputy Commissioner said the anti-smog gun will help suppress dust, airborne pollutants, and fine particulate matter, contributing to improved air quality in urban areas. He noted that the initiative is particularly important during periods of extreme heat and heatwaves, when air pollution can pose greater health risks to the public.
He added that the district administration is implementing the Punjab Government’s environmental protection directives and will continue introducing eco-friendly measures to improve living conditions for residents.
Zulfiqar Ahmed directed the relevant departments to deploy the anti-smog gun effectively across different parts of the city to maximize its impact on reducing dust and air pollution. He also urged citizens to support the district administration’s efforts by promoting cleanliness and adopting environmentally responsible practices.
