Multiple SHOs Transferred in Bahawalnagar Police Reshuffle
BAHAWALNAGAR: The Bahawalnagar police have made administrative changes at several police stations, with District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Imran ordering transfers and postings as part of efforts to improve police performance, curb crime and provide timely assistance to citizens.
According to the police, Inspector Abdul Jabbar, SHO of Saddar Bahawalnagar, Sub-Inspector Aamir Siddiq, SHO of Bakhshan Khan, Sub-Inspector Taj Shaheen, SHO of Takht Mahal, and Sub-Inspector Muhammad Asif, SHO of Saddar Haroonabad, have been suspended and placed on the line.
Sub-Inspector Nauman Iqbal, who was serving as SHO of Mandi Sadiq Ganj, has been posted as SHO of Takht Mahal. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zeeshan has been appointed SHO of Mandi Sadiq Ganj, while Sub-Inspector Khurram Hussain has been posted as SHO of Saddar Haroonabad.
The police said the changes were aimed at improving the working environment at police stations, strengthening crime prevention and ensuring better public service.
DPO Muhammad Imran directed the newly posted SHOs to take indiscriminate action against street criminals, drug dealers and elements involved in serious crimes. He stressed that no concessions should be given to those involved in criminal activities.
The DPO also instructed police officers to give priority to complaints brought by citizens visiting police stations, particularly women and children, and to bring about a positive change in the behaviour of police personnel towards the public.
He directed officers to ensure that all decisions were made in accordance with law and justice. He said honest and competent officers who met merit-based standards would be encouraged, while negligence, dereliction of duty or misuse of authority would not be tolerated.
The DPO further said open courts would continue to provide citizens with an opportunity to raise their concerns directly and help strengthen public confidence in the police.
According to police officials, the latest transfers and postings are intended to improve law and order, strengthen crime control and ensure more effective and timely police services for residents across Bahawalnagar district.
